We are currently restoring WACo 6 at the Hawaiian Railway on Oahu. The boiler is being completely rebuilt off island. This locomotive was operational in the mid 1980's.
WACo 6, an 0-6-2T, was the only steam locomotive actually built on the Island of Oahu. The plantation built it from spare and some extra order Baldwin parts.

Come out and visit. What better reason to come to Hawaii other than to ride the narrow gauge rails! We currently operate with Diesels (45Ton Whitcomb center cabs) and open air passenger cars. We have a breathtaking section of track where we run right along the coast of the Pacific Ocean.
