So all in all, they still have a good deal of business based out of East Deerfield. Minus the 30+ miles west of Greenfield to North Adams, B&E should see decent car counts between CSX, NS, P&W and VTRR interchanges that funnels into the ED to Ayer region.

1. What customer receives centerbeams of sheetrock from NS/PAS?
2. Does SAPPI receive boxcars of Maine paper and transload paper to containers to go west on IM train B101/265?

Thanks.

Yes, a welded rail train was sighted/photographed on PAS May 18 and is believed to have dropped CWR at various locations between Athol (?) and Greenfield (?)

Here are a batch of pictures taken 6/2/24 and 6/3/24 of NS' rehabbed Albany Main (aka the Voorheesville connector). The track work looks to largely done with crossing gates, distant signals, CP signals in place and illuminated. These photos are from the Voorheesville end at S Main St crossing.

Here are some photos at the south end of the connector near CP-499. The first picture is the new CP-499 distant signal under the northbound side of I-88. Photo two looks north from Cole Rd at CP-499 with main line to Schenectady on the left and the Voorheesville Connector on the right. Lastly new 136 lb rail rail forged in 2022 is in place throughout the connector.

I can confirm from multiple radio transmissions that the new crossover between Wagon Wheel crossing and CPF-312 is called "Ayer East Crossover."

Someone had asked how far it is east of the crossing, it appears to me about 1600 feet. I calculated that by comparing the drone photo posted earlier here to Google satellite view, so definitely just an estimate.

I'll play. Since it's right at the water, I'm guessing 2,000 feet to the first switch.

I used the image of the slope with no trees to guess along with the water, remember with all the rain we've had there could be water on the north side that doesn't show on the satellite image.
