Not sure if anyone has brought this commercial up before... There's a Cingular Wireless commercial that briefly shows 5 Metro North M-7s, I believe, on the Park Avenue tracks heading inbound. The cars are arranged in the "5 bars" formation, showing that Cingular has good cell phone reception across the country.

I don't know much about this stretch of track except for a photo essay a few months ago in Trains. Is this shot even possible with regularly scheduled service, or did they run 5 trains in bound just for the commercial? I assume that even if this is stock footage, it's not an every day occurrence. And the fact that they're M-7s means that the stock videographer had to catch the scene fairly recently.

I assume its some sort of composite of actual footage and computer animation.

It's a pretty decent computer manipulation, probably took a while to capture trains in the right position(s) for the shot.
