Hello all,
I am attempting to model CRR NJ and CNJ equipment and locomotives in HO and N scale. I am trying to determine the best paint matches for my equipment. I will be using a mix of Micro-Scale and custom printed decals as well. I have F units and a Baldwin Double ender that I would like to paint tangerine and blue. These colors seem easy to match though. Also Coast Guard scheme GP 7s and RS-3s i believe i have gotten a close if not perfect match to the red. My biggest concern and difficulty is matching the green and yellow/gold striping colors used. The striping so far seems to be easiest as a decal. However i would like to try masking the yellow/gold stripes once or twice. If anyone has any input on the best matches in model paints to use I would be very great full. These models will be airbrushed. Mostly Coaches and engines. Also best matches for the blue comet cars too.

If you plan "in-service" looks to your models, your paint can be a little off the original colors. Fading, dirt and grime, etc., would change the colors over time.
