The Lehigh Valley Railroad Historical Society Station Museum at 8 E. High St. in Shortsville, New York, will be open to the public on Sunday, August 19, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. A large collection of historical artifacts from the Lehigh Valley Railroad is on display at the museum. Admission is free; donations are welcome.

Local rail historian Shelden King of Lyons will give a presentation during the open house titled “Lehigh Valley Railroad Freight Operations – Oak Island, New Jersey, to Buffalo, New York.” The open house will also feature a station stop by a track car club during their trip over the Finger Lakes Railway between Geneva and Canandaigua. The gift shop will be open and refreshments will be provided. For more information, call 585-289-8022 or visit www.lvrrhs.org.
