Hey everyone,
I'm thinking about modeling the LV, in n-scale, from the tunnel north of Penn Junction to the tunnel at west portal and possibly including the ashland branch, maybe the E&N branch as well. My goal is to run some of the heavy coal & ore drags to beth steel and eastward in addition to regular frieght & passenger service.
I'm looking to gather information about LV operations from 1940's through the 1960's - I have some first gen diesels (PA's, FA's, etc), but i would love to run steam at somepoint. I've read and re-read the information at http://www.lvrrmodeler.net/ and also archer & bednar's books , however most of that information pertains to the years right before the LVRR's demise. What i'm looking for are some schedules/timetables, and also carloads per year for industries & interchanges, plus info about how the various interchanges worked (mt carmel, catasaqua, allentown, easton, etc).
Thanks
~Mike
