In 1978. New Hope & Ivyland bought some crossing equipment from the North end of St. Clair from the Reading Company. At that time, the line North of St. Clair was abandoned, but not yet removed, nor was it owned by ConRail.

Did the RDG or CR use any of St. Clair yard after it was closed in the mid-1960s? Were any of the yard tracks in place and used for anything? I read that the RDG closed St Clair yard in the 60s and moved operations to Cressona yard because the coal mines were closing. Did CR ever run up to Frackville? I think I talked to a buddy who said they did a tourist train run up to Frackville in the late 70s.
