Amtrak Virtual Railroad

I was wondering if anyone was interested in building Amtrak in the spirit of Eastern Virtual Airlines http://easternairlinesvirtual.org/site/ You could go back to May 1971 and decide what equipment you keep, which you design and build, the routes that you keep or initiate. The basis of EAV is applyng for positions, working your way up to positions based on seniority and skill, promotions to better routes and equipment. Of course, it would take some talented people to design the software but it could be opened source so anyone with knowledge could contribute. It would be a quite interesting project. EAV certainly is.
