How do I install MSTS downloads?

Some files are executable (.exe) which means that you can start the downloaded program and it will install it for you. Others are arhicved in zip files (.zip), for these you have to manually put the files in the proper folders in the Train Simulator folder. Usually when you download a zip file it will have a readme.txt or readme.doc inside which will contain the instructions for installation.
