In case anyone still tracks this thread I spent last school year studying in Israel and frequently took the train around the country and went to the railway museum there. I can answer any questions anyone might have. I've also ridden on the Carmalit which is a tiny funicular subway that has 6 stops. Very neat. I have pictures if there are any takers.
