London to Scotland freight in 5.5 hours !
The service will use modified passenger trains to move premium freight faster than trucks.
First trains will be Class319's. They appear to have the windows blanked out , and will utilise the 2 sets of double doors to load freight fast .

I guess this service will compete with DB Cargo UK which uses the Class 325 mail EMU's. The fact that the 319's are similar to the 325's probably helps.

I have no idea just what services DB is offering with the class 325 EMU's. My information comes from the Wikipedia article I linked to and messages posted to the newsgroup uk.railway of which there has been few of late regarding the 325's.

Hopefully one of our UK readers can add more.
