I believe they are referring to the new batch of Shinkansen N700 series trainsets which recently entered service, intended for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics (rescheduled to Spring 2021), and are also proposed for service on the Texas Central Railway from Dallas o Houston. Hopefully this technology will be applied to the export N700s as well as all new high speed trainsets from Shinkansen, especially the E8 series which is currently under development.
