B&M 3713 Restoration

Hate to be a wet dishrag, but how long does it take to restore a locomotive.
Work on this loco started in June of 1999. It is now almost March of 2012.
That's almost 13 yrs. now since the work started. Andy

Same could be said for the Flying Yankee as well. I was hopeful to see both 3717 and 6000 in operation... 10 - 15 years later, not so much.

This doesn't get updated often on Railroad.net but the current information for Boston & Maine no. 3713, "America's Locomotive (TM)" is at http://www.project3713.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and at Project 3713 on Facebook.com.

The current situation with the federal government shutdown is not helping matters. A lot of contracted work is complete or near completion, but can't get delivered to the park until the park is open again. 2019 should be a good year of progress for this steam engine project.
