The B&P Buffalo based local BF-1 had a lease unit this week, LTEX #1414:

The B&P ran a Salt Extra out of Buffalo for the WNY&P at Salamanca on Thursday:

Or do I have to view them one at a time and then return to this post at railroad.net and click on the next link?
Sorry I did not notice this before:

Here's a link to all the B&P pics at NERail:

I really like your West Valley pics. That is my favorite set of tracks although I've never walked the line before. If I ever got the money, I would start an excursion train on this line from West Valley to either Ellicottville, Salamanca or both[no, not a ski train]. In the valley just north of Ashford Jct, I think it is incredibly scenic especially as you move north and the deep valley opens up into a wider valley and swamp land. A variety of scenery in a short time.

Probably just clearing the snow. Not surprised about 3 engines. BPRR territory(Orchard Park up through Blasdell towards South Buffalo, and then down through West Seneca, Gardenville, East Aurora and Wales) was ground zero for the big snow. Don't know how long this Weather Service link of storm totals willbe up but look while you can:

Every time I take route 219 for skiing, I cross over the line at Orchard Park. The snow has been so deep that the rails haven't shown themselves all season. But yesterday, 3/6, I immediately noticed that the line has been plowed clear. I have no idea if a plow came through or if a delivery was made. But it's open for business.

When I'd go out to East Aurora, I'd usually take Rt 400 to Maple Rd so I would drive along the ex-PRR and pass Gravity to check out the signals. They were usually on in both directions. A few years ago, I'd get off at Maple and make a left turn onto W. Blood Rd. At the crossing, I "discovered" a set of signals there and they were almost always lit. This became a repeated route I'd travel on. It is at MP 15s. But the sad thing is, late last Fall, I drove by it, and it was dark. As I drove home on the 400, I saw a MOW crew at Gravity. I thought maybe it was a repair or something. But each time I crossed the W. Blood crossing since then, the light have been dark. I assumed that night was actually a signal replacement in progress. Here are several pictures of both Gravity and W. Blood Rd.

I took all these photo's with the iPhone so not perfect shots. The sun was so bright that I could not capture the signals set up. There are 7 lights on each. Basically its set up for Clear [vertical], slow [diagonal] and stop [horizontal]. BTW, all yellow lights.

This set of signals is at Gravity at the end of the double track and southbound traffic. These are the old signals/original[?] and are still operational and red.
Image

This picture is also at Gravity. This is for northbound [Buffalo] traffic. This is the back side of the new signal that appears to have replaced W. Blood Rd.
Image

This is the new signal [front view] for northbound traffic. Although you can't see it, the upper lens is red. It is very bright compared the original red lights it replaced.
Image

Anybody have a good guess as to when these older signals were installed? Sad to see the W. Blood Rd signal go dark. Always loved watching it as I crossed.

What a pain in the butt getting this posted. This is from Paint. Trying to get it into Photobucket and then here....geeez.

Upper signal is the old signal at MP 15s. Lower signals are the new replacements at Gravity.
