If you guys are on HU. There reports about 1073 on Q091. Now I don't know if it's true or not. But I highly doubt that its on the train. Its probably in the yard.

I like being right, the information about NS 1073 on Q091 is FALSE! Still Selkirk, people should be careful of what information they put down. 1073 is on K010-19 waiting to head to the Port of Albany. People these days. ;-)

I believe I answer my own question about 1073. As of 22:00, she is still in the yard. Now will she be returning tomorrow or tomorrow evening? Most likely she will be the leader! Hope and pray that she comes in the late evening. ;)

I have been watching it on HU... no one update the sighting report since 5/20. I'm sure we have few in this forum who are from albany area and they could help us out...

yeah lets hope that it's gonna be leader... unless CSX look for excuse to put PC in trailing such as toilet excuse recently...

CSX always have a poor excuse to not put any heritage unit in the lead. Now is there any rail forums in the Albany area??

there are groups, mostly for Albany - mass area. I know there is two or three Yahoo groups and I believe that there is a Google group as well.

There is a report of K011 out of Selkirk just after 8:00 this morning with the 1073 in the consist but it is unclear of which position. When I saw it yesterday, it was coupled to the rest of the K010 power it came in with along with NS 9803 and a CSX SD40-2. The entire power set was shut down which made me think it would be there a while longer but I guess not.

09:40 am: K011 with BNSF 4128 as leader is pulling out of the yard. 1073 is not leading. :-(

Thanks Scot!
even though it isnt leading, I might go out and look for it this afternoon..since I have not yet
seen one single heritage unit in person! and its on "PC Rails"..which is cool..

anyone have any rough estimate of what time it might come through Rochester?
I know its impossible to know for sure, (unless we have more reports along the way today)
but if things ran normally, about 3 hours from Selkirk to Rochester probably?

thanks,
Scot

i would say 4 -5 hours. not 3 hours.

it takes me 3 hours from Roch to Albany @ 75 mph. and Thruway is much straighter and have less miles than CSX line do... K011 probably would go 50 mph max. (I assume that they have not returned to 60 mph max, which was during CR days until CR cut 10 mph off on all MAX speed to save fuel)
