To the photographers out there -

Last night I was riding as the fireman on one of the Santa Specials and we were being leapfrogged by a father and son who were taking video of the train. Before any one jumps all over me on this they were doing nothing wrong. The were not trespassing. They had spoken to me on the platform before we departed so I knew they were out there. The have ridden our train before and probably will again. They stayed out of the way of us and of traffic. I have absolutely no complaints about their conduct. The problem was we couldn't see them in the dark. If one of them had been too close or had tripped we never would have seen him.

Please, if you are going to be out here in low light or in the dark, please wear something reflective. It will do wonders for for the engine crews' peace of mind.
