Living by the tracks in Springfield, love this stuff. Keep it coming!

According to the site, it says that Jaeger Lumber in Union stopped getting cars in 1992. I remember as a kid crossing over the line on Route 22 in the early 90s. Anyone have pictures of the Conrail trains coming through Kenilworth or Union going to Jaeger?

Conrail never operated the line. Delaware Otsego (NYS&W parent) ran the railroad from about 1985 to 1992. Power that traversed Rahway Valley rails had included at least one of the NYS&W GP18s, the SW9, NYO&W NW2 116,and, of course, the two RV GE70 ton units.

Thanks for that info. Very interesting stuff.

It's nice to see all these photos and read this chat about the Rahway Valley.

Arcadia may issue a revised issue of my book sometime this year. A number of minor errors need to be corrected.
