The N.J. Senate is considering three bill regulating rail transportation of hazardous materials. S2858, http://www.njleg.state.nj.us/2014/Bills ... 858_I1.HTM, which requires the trains' "owner or operator" to submit plans for remediation of any accidents. S2979, http://www.njleg.state.nj.us/2014/Bills ... 979_I1.HTM, requires railroads to file bridge inspection reports with the state. SCR165, http://www.njleg.state.nj.us/2014/Bills/SCR/165_I1.HTM, urges Congress to pass the Crude By Rail Safety Act.

I'm always suspicious of politicians attempt to regulate anything so I'm wondering what folks who know more about rail transportation than them think of this legislation.
