In a caption from one of my photos on a cold & snowy 12/14/2013, I wished for "next year to be sunny & 45 degrees"; sheesh, maybe I should play the lottery, as today was exactly what I wished for one year ago. A perfect winters day brought superb light, and dozens of railfans along the line; along with my sidekick Tony K, it was great to see everyone, including Joe R & his daughter, Stephen (OCTrainguy), Mr. Youngblood (entertaining as always!), and the fantastic CR crew who go above & beyond in accommodating the families & railfans, not to mention giving up their day off to present this wonderful annual event (28th annual this year, if my math is correct).

Here you go from the trip from Browns to Freehold (could not chase back, family stuff intervened once again):

Chris,

I took the whole fam to see Santa in Freehold this year, and we all enjoyed it. Thanks for providing the Santa train's running schedule.
While waiting for Santa I noticed the fire escape steps at the back of the fire department building and thought they offered a nice vantage of the event. Lo and behold you had already been there to take the shot. Nice!
