Hi All-

Does anyone know the volume on the Trenton Line / Lehigh Line / CSX River Line in NJ on a daily/weekly basis?

Trying to figure out how these rank with rail traffic...

If all the oil is routed in that direction, I'd estimate maybe 35 on the River Line and 20 on the Trenton Line. Someone else would probably know more specifics.

You can count on about 4 oil train movements in any 24 hour period, ( I hear thru the grapevine the first Eddystone PA oil train is next week, so this number may rise). The csx is have a mini service meltdown, so the bulk of the empty trains go west from Philly via Sand Patch. There is also an average of 4 ethanol movements in 24 hours and with the csx meltdown the NS has picked up to about 75% of the traffic for now.

The NS runs Eastbound: 18G,18N, 20K,20R,20W,212, 22V,24Z,290,32A
Westbound: 11J, 19G, 211, 21M, 23M, 23Z, 25R,25V, 25Z, 33K
66J and 67J run twice a week now. 64E/65E to Tremley , 64K/65K to Sewaren

From CP-Port Reading Jct to CP-1 including South Karney and Oak Island/Port Newark
The CSX runs East/Northbound: K280,(K533/K531), Q032,Q034,Q140,Q157,Q159,Q161,Q163,Q167,Q190, Q271,Q300,Q410,Q418,Q434,Q438,Q702
West/Southbound: K281, (K532/K534), (Q031/L031/Q033/L033), Q004,Q112,Q141,Q156,Q162,Q191, Q268, Q301,Q409,Q417,Q433.Q439,Q703
K678 Thru K688, and K408 Terminate at Sewaren/ K679 Thru K689 and K409 originate at Sewaren
K634 Thru K648 and K418 Terminate at Tremley/ K635 Thru K649, and K419 originate at Tremley.

Any word on if this mini meltdown is easing at all? I did see a K041 northbound up the River Line yesterday. Today I believe there was a Z4E over the Lehigh Line so maybe that's some of the extra traffic.

CSX had all sorts of problems in NYS last month. I thought it was from the rough winter, but it appears the problems are continuing.
Wolf-crew shortages? or infrastructure?
I heard a 004 outlaw in Bergen with no relief for 12+ hours on Sunday. Last month one saturday morning ALL sidings on the river sub were full. More trains=more problems?
Hope all is well on your end!

thanks for the info -- so out of those lines, would the river line have most traffic? (not including shared assets area Manville to Newark)
and between the Lehigh and Trenton lines, which has more?
