Looks like we will see a train on the Southern today... A friend is at Browns and apparently the 31 crew is getting ready to take the 4405/6228 duo.

Update: they might be going to Freehold now... We’ll see what happens

Update 3:02: They’re on their way to Dayton with the two engines and 17 boxes. I guess they will come to the Southern on Friday

Hey guys, just revisiting the old post about 6 axles on the Southern- took a while but found my pics- this is the return of the ballast train from around 92- 2nd unit is ex-CNJ SD40 6292. I also have the Earle one and will post up a little later

[Hear my train a coming]

I am in Brick Township close to Lakewood, about 3 miles from the Southern Secondary. Unless I imagined it, I heard a train horn off in the distance about 6:30 PM.

Approaching Maxwell Rd at 10:25 in the am with CSX 4405, CSX 6228 and 14 for Woodhaven. Not sure of the symbol today, they caught me by surprise.....
