An Eastern Maine Railway freight train collided with a logging truck, causing an explosion at the Route 1 crossing in Eaton, near Danforth, late Wednesday. No one was significantly injured, but the police and DOT had to close the highway for most of the night --- a major inconvenience for drivers, as the accident necessitated turning around and going many, many, many miles out of the way. The road is now open.
