A few great photos of this move are posted on http://photos.nerail.org/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. Check them out!

Need to add:
Checking out Google Earth of Boston Paperboard there seems to be only one loading door. How are they going to unload the second car? Also, why rebuild the tracks to clear two cars? Couldn't they just do one car at a time?

If you go to the street level, you can see that the rest of the Yard 10 lead has been removed. This was going to be rebuilt as part of the Greenline extension. Is that still in the plans?

BP has two doors...

Only one short track panel was put in to accommodate this move because its more than one engine and a car length between the switch
to BP and the north side of the crossing at Innerbelt.

And, unfortunately, the Yard 10 lead is being rebuilt for PAR due to GLX. They should be going though old Yard 8 as they do now, but GLX
and the bikers rule...

It's pretty funny. I am now living in Florida and close to the CSX "S" line which has had miles of new track installed for a major upgrade. BUT, I still get excited about 100 feet of new track and a move of two cars back on Boston!

Looks like the third load never got spotted Friday, BO-1 derailed trying to pull out the empties yesterday.
All rerailed, but the track is out of service for now.

Is the track on that side of the crossing (east) going to be rebuilt as part of the Yard 10 track renewal? Would the track to Boston Paperboard be part of the work?

The Yard 10 lead from Mystic down to FX is being rebuilt for the rerouting of freight
due to GLX (Green Line Project). As far as Boston Paperboard goes, I don't know
whose responsible for fixing it.

Has anyone heard word on B721 being annulled very soon?

Thanks!

Swift will be removed from service fairly soon, but haven't heard the latest date. Keolis has been doing qualifying runs on Pan Am's Worcester Main for equipment transfers. Have yet to hear how the produce will get to Everett via Pan Am (SEPO will be making drops in Lawrence, maybe?) or if B721 will be back once Swift is back in service.

Somewhat related, how many days does Houghton Chemical have left?

How long is Swift out of service for. Is Houghton ending in the Summer??

Swift - outage duration unknown, but at least seven weeks (with no FRML passenger trains on weekends).

Houghton should be done with rail this summer.

I'm guessing the Grand Junction is out right now as this is the tracks, look to be replacing both tracks at that part. No B721 this week or any MBTA moves.
