Assuming BSRR solved the cost of liability insurance, they could build an outdoor platform, next to the Amtrak station, on Gaspee St on the freight track. Then they won't have to negotiate a station lease with Amtrak. They could choose whatever platform height they want - short, using surplus center-entrance bilevel coaches they seem to have in Chicago or California. Or high platforms with wide gaps like Brightline uses to allow wide freights. Just keep the gap fillers permanently extended all winter.

I was just looking at the "six year financial projection".. Without "capital investment", they project zero rail revenue and operate a bus line (maybe).. With "capital investment", the rail revenue stream is projected for 2023.. Who, in their right mind, is going to invest in this crawl by night outfit? Colour me skeptical, here..

No, it's not currently all high-level but the MBTA has a project to make it full-high. And if they were going PVD-WOR-LOW they'd want to platform on the P&W/old B&M side anyway, not where the current MBTA/Amtrak platform is.

Which is a low platform. That way they wouldn't compete with the MBTA for platform space on the east-west track (CSX side), which is already in shortage.
