I was driving east on I-480 in Cleveland this morning and saw a working steam engine hooked to some vintage cars. It was at the NS Rockport Yard (W150thST). On My way home the passenger cars remained but the engine was gone. Any info? I would love to get some pictures if it is still in the area.
That was the NKP Ft. Wayne 2-8-4 with the 17-car excursion train.
NS operated a pair of employee specials on Saturday Rockport to Fairlane.
Open excursion on Sunday from Rocky river to Bellvue on the former NKP mainline.
Today, engine and train will deadhead to Conway via the former PRR.
