I found this article online, but I have no idea which railroad owns this bridge.

I am guessing it is a shortline, and they have no money to repair the bridge?

This article came to me in my daily feed of articles about Bike Lanes. The bridge can not support the weight of bicycles, which makes it sound like it's going to collapse any minute now.

Please fill me in on any information you have about this bridge.
"Police will be positioned at the Johnson Street Bridge Monday to direct a crush of commuter car and bike traffic that will share three narrow lanes following the weekend closure of the attached rail bridge, Victoria Mayor Dean Fortin said Saturday.

The corroded rail section of the iconic blue bridge was raised for the last time Saturday at noon as a small crowd looked on. Some spectators and politicians called it a “bittersweet” moment watching a piece of Victoria’s history come to a close.

The deteriorating rail bridge, used by cyclists and pedestrians, was closed for safety reasons. That could push an extra 2,000 bicycle trips a day onto the three remaining narrow three-metre lanes of the road bridge.
