The LIRR had three ballast hoppers at AH so they had to head east to LD.
They travelled out to Paraco first. I headed home after that. Could also went BRT.

RS 70 worked Paraco today. On they way back they stopped at BRT to picked up anulled freight.
Caught them at Holbrook. GP38-2 261, MP15AC’s 151,159 and 271 followed by 26 empties. First switch for Paraco after
LIRR Westbury incident.

With the LIRR Westbury accident on last Tuesday, 2-26-19 and then weekend trackwork between Hicksville and Ronkonkoma, how often was the NY&A able to run?
Was the NY&A able to run east of Jamaica last week? Customers like Coastal Distr. want to get switched daily.

mainline,
When the RS70 switches paraco, how long to they wait on the siding at LD before running around in LD? And which train do they follow on the RS71 run around/ westbound trip to Pine Aire?

They usually leave LD after the 1:29 train at Riverhead. At least that’s what they did when I saw them out there a few weeks ago.

Three loaded ballast hoppers at AH siding . This is changing the move at present. The previous move had engines on each end. They switched Paraco and then moved to LD Siding to wait for the eastbound.

Yesterday they were Moving thru LD at 1:38. They arrived approximately 12:20 but no other eastbound customers switched.

Something I've never seen before. MP15ac/GP38-2 with 41 cars eastbound between Wyandanch and Deer Park followed apx 5 mins later by another GP38-2/MP15ac pair eastbound with 9 cars.

Saw them both in Pinelawn. 70 pulled right out onto the main line as the 40 came through. Probably something you’ll never see again.

Tuesday 156 and 159 led the RS40 westbound through Mineola with some stone hoppers. Didn’t see if they were full or not, I’m not used to NYAR operations.
