Holtsville, NY- Just before 3am, MTA Police, Suffolk Police and Holtsville FD/EMS were called to the LIRR tracks just west of the Waverly Ave crossing after the conductor reported striking a pedestrian.
The adult male victim was pronounced dead at the scene. MTA Police detectives are conducting an investigation. The train appears to be a freight train which was heading west and nobody on board was injured.”
