WNYP550 (former Seminole Gulf C425) arrived this morning in Selkirk on Q41012.

Not bad, three weeks to go 1000 miles..... and still not home. Not very impressive, by far.

As long as it gets here in one piece. If they have to take an extra week to do it, I don't care. Just as long as it arrives in one piece.

With all the talk of delivery being slow. This was still the first.
Probably, by the time the others arrive, three weeks will seem much faster.

Alot to be said about slow service.... But, your right, the unit with the longest distance got here first. Even beat one of their own coming from Geneva.

Otto, I understand that there is not a great priority for a dead in tow unit but come on. Something should be done about handling service like that with someone who is not a competitor but a customer that is taking a volume of "hand off" business like that of the LAL Family.

Obviously, it didn't have to move like a Tropicana Train but three weeks is unexcusible. I'll say it again, What happened to Customer Service?

550 was only in transit for a week. Seminole Gulf hauled it from Ft Myers Fl. to Arcadia Fl., the CSX interchange, on June 22. It sat there waiting for CSX to take it until July 9. It was in Waycross Ga on July 10 and in Maryland on the 15th.
Hopefully it got there in one piece. Several years ago, SGLR painted an ex-FEC GP for their sister, Bay Colony. It took CSX 6 weeks to get it to Mass, and when it arrived it was found that they dragged it the entire way with the handbrakes set. CSX then hauled it to their shop to replace the wheels, and then hauled it BACK to Mass with the handbrakes set AGAIN.

That makes more sense.

4223 and 4264 left Morristown today. Will be travelling north and west on the Susie Q to Binghamton. I assume that NS will pick them up there for the remainder of the trip.

FWIW on the 418:

With any luck the local out of Rochester will pick it up; if that ends up being the case, another Rochester local would be the one to deliver it, so it has no reason to go on a road train. Unless of course CSX has one do the pickup at Lyons the day it goes up there.

418 has safely arrived in Lakeville. B790, out of Rochester yard, picked it up at Lyons and hauled it to GJ. LA&L took it home to Lakeville. B790 then waited for several mainline freights on the Westshore and then finally headed back home to Rochester Yard.

CSX locals don't change symbols when they change direction.
