Governor Rendell, in Pennsylvania, has given his signature to sending more funds to the railroads. Included is the WNYP for Crawford county, Pa.

Crawford County: -- Western New York & Pennsylvania Railroad, LLC will receive $850,000 for the continued upgrade of the line and extension of yard track for safer handling of unit coal trains that move Monongahela coal to New York and New England. The completed project will help create 2 jobs, maintain 1,008 jobs and reduce the number of truck trips by 90,000 annually.

More improvement, with government dollars, going to make this railroad stronger and better. And to think it was a rusted and washed out railline just a few years ago. "Good job!" goes to the Governor and WNYP for their efforts.
