The Northern Ohio Association of Railroad Societies (NOARS) is coordinating this affair Sept. 28th through Oct. 1st in Cleveland.

The Van Sweringens built Cleveland Union Terminal and the Shaker Heights Rapid Transit, and also became involved with railroading by purchasing the Nickel Plate Road.

The AMC was the Advisory Mechanical Committee of the affiliated Van Sweringen railroads: NKP, ERIE, and C&O.

The E-LHS, E-LDCPS, NKPHTS, and C&OHS are participating in the Symposium.

Further information and registration form are available at www.noars.org

I bought a nifty booklet that was published as a result of this symposium... oddly enough, I bought it at the NYCSHS Convention in Niagara Falls... I was interested in the Mechanical Committee review, and the information about Cleveland Terminal Tower and the Rapid.
