Here, courtesy of the Googlemobile, is what remains of the C&NW's line from Omaha (OK; Missouri Valley for the technocrats around here) to Lander, WY, at Valentine NE. This is one of the places that MN Gov, and Democratic VP nominee, had ties to while residing in Nebraska.
That line was chopped up by the C&NW during 1992, and now appears to be a "rail-trail" at least through Valentine.
