The Uban Transit club meets once a month on 23rd St. More details on out website at

http://www.utcny.org

Our next meeting will be on Saturday, October 9, 2004 at the Masonic Hall; Room 2 Central. Doors open 6:00 PM, with the auction starting at 7:00 PM. The Masonic Hall; which is located at 71 West 23rd Street, New York City. The Masonic Hall is on 23rd Street at Sixth Avenue. Several Subway and Bus lines are nearby, as well as PATH, and Penn Station of the LIRR, NJT, and Amtrak.

Our October Meeting will be our Annual Fall Slide Auction. The slide auction is a great way to get your work out there, and make a little money doing it, as well as an excellent way to improve your collection. Each person in attendance may put up for auction 2 rounds of 10 slides each. All slides submitted must be of transit topics (rail, bus, etc.). Bidding starts at 50¢ per slide and will increase in 25¢ increments. Credit is extended until our October meeting for members only. Late entries will be accepted at the discretion of the officers. You do not have to be a member to bid on or submit slides for auction. The club receives 20% of all successful bids.

Please note, we will be using a new method of accounting for all slides/bids this time around, so totals will be available approximately 10 minutes after the end of the auction.

Even if you don’t bid, our auctions are always fun shows to attend. The slides auctioned are always of great quality and variety, so the auction always proves to be a great show, so BE THERE. Since there is no door fee for slide auctions there is no excuse not to show up.
