Today, July 26, CSX yard crew YY220 pulled several pieces of
vintage rail equipment from storage at the Ridgefield PSE&G power
plant. they ever so gently eased the various pieces of equipment on
to the River Line main at CP-5, crossed over from track 1 to track 2,
and then shoved the equipment into the NYS&W. The NYS&W will move
the equipment over their railroad(minus two pieces) to Passaic Jct
(Saddle Brook, NJ) for interchange to NJ Transit who will then take
the equipment in a special move to Boonton NJ, joining other pieces
of rail equipment saved and stored by the United railway Historical
Society(URHS) got inclusion in a future New Jersey transportation
museum.

The move to passaic Jct from Ridgefield Park will take place Sunday,
July 27, starting with the crew on duty at 5 AM. Train will have an
engine on each end, and is restricted to 10 MPH, and should arrive at
PC between 7 and 8 AM for interchange with NJT.

Hi, just after reading the first post, i ran out the door hoping to catch the move. I got to passaic junction just after eight and saw some of the equipment on the wye. Unfortunatly, i drove off on the wrong direciton and never got a shot of it. However, the susquehanna alco and the conrail transfer caboose is still at cp5

I am so glad to see that two of the DL&W Wicker Liners have been saved!!! I do hope they arrive in Boonton safely and can be restored if only cosmetically.

There were 3 in the collection move... The trailer car and two of the 1912 former Parlor Cars.

Its the two parlors that I am most pleased about! Never rode in 'em, but loved to see them. Incedently, the Parlors were the Wicker Liners. The other car, just a coach trailer, had seats that were regular rattan walkover seats. The Parlors had Wicker furniture, one per window plus small table or ashtray stand; plus I believe there were Wicker couch or setees, too.
