Thanks for the information;

Easter saw a purge on SP units;

Now just seven remain;

6236, 6248, 6310, 6318, 6367, 6379, 6406.

Conflicting reports on Hertiage Units suggested 6248 was done but a couple of recent photos on Flickr one only a couple of days ago still show in carrying the Southern Pacific flag. Did a YouTube on it and most recent ie middle of this month and still a SP unit.

I wouldn't bet on it. Someone in either Omaha or Little Rock committed to getting all the remaining SP, SSW, and CNW units into yellow & grey during 2018, and it seems to be happening...

UP 7076 wrote:Some good news being one unit was incorrectly reported as painted and is still SP. Can also confirm 6248 as still SP.

Therefore eight remain; not many but never the less;

6236, 6310, 6318, 6367, 6378, 6379, 6406.
6248 has been painted. Seven remain...

The others seemingly still going strong.

6236, 6310, 6318, 6367, 6378, 6379, 6406 all still SP as is 6290 apparently. So in fact still for now right remain. Nice they last well into 2019
