Actually, they're Baldwin Lima Hamiltons.

They are ex-Erie Mining locomotives, subsequently owned by LTV.

They spent 5 months at Selkirk on their way from Minnesota to NJ.

They arrived in Camden's Pavonia Yard on Thursday and were delivered to the SMS junction on Friday morning by Shared Asseta train CA-11, photographed crossing School Street, Gibbstown,

and under the NJ route 44 bridge,

as well as at the SMS junction at Center Square Road.

Baldwin DS 4-4-1000 #302 moved them into the yard

and backed them onto their new home track.

No. I heard that they were in Pavonia Thursday night scheduled to go south on Friday's CA-11.

What are they doing with these locomotives? Do they run?

SMS is a busy short line. They switch Pureland Industrial Park, where their HQ is located. They also switch the Valero refinery in Paulsboro and operate a short line in Morrisville, PA.

305 was fired up recently. 304 was in operating condition when it was stored, but had not yet been started recently, as of Friday morning.

Did SMS get those for parts or for service? It would seem that SMS already has enough Baldwins for its small operation already.

They appear to be in very good condition given their age and look like they could have powered the train themselves. SMS is very dedicated to running Baldwins, nice to have a couple more down there.
