Tri-Rail & Hurricane Katrina

I have not monitored any train activity on my scanner,today on the Miami Subdivision.Only track inspectors and MOW.I monitored a message to the New River Bridge Tender around 7:00 PM that they would try and run 1 Amtrak and 2 rock trains this evening.On the FEC they ran at least one train yesterday#218,today #218 and #151 using flag men,or stop and flag at street grade crossings,due to power outtages.

Amtrak was terminated in Orlando.

Update- Tri-Rail did not operate Saturday, August 27 and will not operate Sunday, August 28. Service anticipated to return on Monday, August 29, 2005.
