Train vs. pedestrian - Manchester, NH - 04-13-2012

Officials said when they arrived they found a 51-year-old man with a severed leg and ankle. The man was taken to a hospital by ambulance.

Some quality reporting as well. When the leg is severed, the ankle usually goes along with it.

I think they mean they severed one leg, and the ankle on the other.

Hasnt been a good week for pedestrians near Pan Am's tracks.

Downeaster 686 hit and killed someone yesterday afternoon in Bidderford.

Virtually every person that gets struck by a train is a suicide or attempted suicide, I don't know why the media and railroads persist in acting as if they were simply "trespassers" and use it as an excuse for the persecution of the general public. As long as there are trains people will use them to end their lives and there is not a whole lot that can be done about it.
