Traffic on the Frackville Grade

I am curious to know if raw coal or run of the mine coal was taken up the Frackville grade from the southern coal fields to be processed at the St. Nick breaker in the 40's and 50's. Any information on the traffic flow over this branch would be helpful in planning operations on my model railroad. Thanks.
