More of a restaurant, but I'm sure they have a bar:

After a long hiatus in the thread: http://theloopny.com/blog/club-car-rest ... n-station/
The historic Mamaroneck Train Station is now open for business as a restaurant, after a ribbon cutting Wednesday.

John Verni and Chris Verni, brothers and partners in Verco Properties LLC, acquired the building from the MTA and converted the long-neglected station into space for a restaurant on the ground level and professional offices on a new second level.

The Gandy Dancer in Norwood, looks over the NYOG and CSXT tracks.
The Phoenix on the Bay Cafe in Ogdensburg, they just put in a patio last year that looks over the Port of Ogdensburg, the NYOG, and the St. Lawrence Seaway. Just an awesome location, not much RR action on the US side, but there is usually a pretty good parade of boats. And you cam hear the CN/VIA on the other side of the river, but the tracks are too far away to see them.
The Smoke House in Madrid, again, overlooks the NYOG. You are more likely to see a highrailer or a tie handler than a train, but it does look over the RR.

With warm weather returning, The Barge in the Corning Preserve in Albany, looking directly at the Livingston Avenue Bridge and across the river at the Amtrak maintenance facility.

The Piccolo Cafe on South Ann Street, Little Falls, NY.

The dining room is the old depot. It borders the CSX Mohawk subdivision (main line) so there's guaranteed action.

The whole building shakes and there are big bay windows to see everything while dining.

Don't miss the underground tunnel from the restaurant to Main St (NYS Route 5).

Yeah, there has been quite a few times I have driven past there and the parking lot was full. Then
again, I took my Mother there for Mother's Day dinner (the Thursday before Mom's day) and there was
only one other table besides ours that had people. Maybe it was hit or miss? Who knows......I'm glad we
went when we did!

I'm sure someone else will find some use for it.......I hope!

According to a friend of mine who used to work there, MacGregor's on Coldwater Road was forced to shut down after they failed to ask an underage drink-purchaser for his ID... Apparently wasn't the first time in recent times that this happened, too...

The Pelican's Nest in Rochester sits between an active CSX line, the former Hojack ROW and the Genesee River. In fact, the old swing bridge (recently removed) was literally across from the riverside deck.

There's also a small bar in either the Town of Geneva or Benton on State Route 14... with the Corning Secondary on the other side of the road. Does anybody know the name of it? I happened to hear a band playing there while I was chasing H06 earlier this summer. Funny thing is, the train horn was more in tune with the band than the singer was!
