Who makes the lanterns that the track workers use? The ones with the red, yellow and green flashers on them. Always been curious who makes them. Are they custom made for the MTA? They look like a regular railroad lantern made by Star.

It appears that your observation is correct, they are made by Star. Custom lettering, which is part of Star's service. The lantern itself is off the shelf from the looks:

Tanks you for he response. I just never saw another railroad use the red, yellow or green lenses for their MOW crews. Including the Staten Island Railway which is weird since its part of the MTA.
