THEY ARE PUTTING IN WELDED RAIL IN FROM MP 26.0 TO MP37.0. I HEARD THAT MAYBE NJT IS PAYING FOR THE WELDED RAIL. I AM STILL LOOKING INTO. BUT IF SOMEONE KNOWS LET ME KNOW.

No, the rail does not have anything to do with NJT(or any funding from NJT), but there is DOT funding behind it.

Im pretty sure that there will be track replacements from Franklin NJ down to were all the welded rail will be. Look for this to alter the times when the detour trains come through.
