Track Restored on Hick Bridge, Indiana

On another site there was mention of a weekend outage on the Chicago Line while a new track is being placed on the Indiana Harbor bridge at Hick Tower. Does anyone have any details on this project? Hopefully it will relieve some of the congestion over this ultra-busy railroad.

I also heard from another board that Hick Tower control has been transferred to Chicago West Dispatcher. Any confirmations on this?

Yes CP Hick is no more. Hick Tower now is a bridge operator only, CP 503 replaced CP Hick also new is Hick controlled siding 503-505. Signals at 503-505 have been replace/relocated too
