Over the last week or so the number of freight trains has gone up from one or two a day to one or two an hour at some points. I can't remember the last time activity was so high. Are trains being diverted because of trouble elsewhere or is Metra just trying to make a little extra cash?

probably reroutes from a wreck or construction on another line..
