Hi,

My name is Rob and I live in Portland, Maine. We bought my two year old son a Brio set this past year and he's become a big fan of "choo choos". We had an HO layout as a kid, so his enthusiasm has rubbed off on me and I've become a budding railfan myself. Until I can start that HO layout in the basement, my son and I have been visting the narrow gauge museum in town weekly and driving over to Rigby Yards in South Portland to see what we can see.

Today, we took our camera with us and took some digital pictures. I've toss them up at the following site:

Could anyone tell me what locomotives we're looking at?

The last image was taken nearby Rigby at Calvary Cemetery. My great-grandfather was a railroad man. He was a fireman, then an engineer on the Grand Trunk in the 1910's. His grave is 10' from the mainline out of Portland.

Hi Rob,

Springfield Terminal 215 and 216 are EMD GP35s.
The two Boston & Maine units in the third photo (with the sand tower in the foreground) are EMD GP40s.
Maine Central 350 is an EMD GP40.
The Maine Central snow plows were built by Russell in the 1930s.
