I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the old station in Newark. I'm unfamiliar with the area and have seen it several times and was wondering where the platforms where,

If you mean the CNJ Broad Street terminal, behind the remaining facade was a passageway to a concourse. There were 4 tracks, two platforms to the east of the concourse, and extended east to Mulberry Street. The concourse's destination signs and the platforms were similar to those in Jersey City. South of the passenger station was a very small freight yard I believe.

Thanks a lot, what are they using it for now? I walked by it and saw that the roof and side windows were gone and that the paint is kept up so to speak. Is it a part of the parking garage behind it now?

Only the front wall and a bit of the passageway are left. They are supposed to be converted to a Broad Street Entrance to the new arena. I wonder why it has not happened as yet.
