Where can I get maps of commercial rail lines? esp. Central Illinois

I haven't found the topic on this site, so I figured this forum is o.k. to use.

Thanks

See if the Illinois DOT has a railroad map on their web site.

You could also write to the railroads in your area to see if they will send you a copy of their official maps. I do this all the time.

You could also investigate the excellent series of atlases from Steam Powered Video- they show lines past and present.

A good DeLorme atlas for Illinois will also be a good resource for current railroad operations.

Hope this helps!
