Somebody got smart and assigned two units to D47 when they switch Central Bridge. A lot of extra work this way as well because some higher up thinks dropping cars is not acceptable. It's amazing what the swivel-chair riders think about things that have been done safely for years.

30A did not exist at the time so it wasn't an underpass. If you drive up 30A you'll see that the property on the East side of the 30A is on the same level on as the Feed Mill (on the west side).

The freight house would have been served by the extra tracks and I wonder if some of them were installed to facilitate the drag run on Richmondville Hill or as leads to the Cement plant just to the west of town. (Used to live to 100 yards from the track).
