Are there any existing RS-1 locomotives that were originally ordered by the New York Central?

There are no known surviving NYC RS1's:

that doesnt mean one or two dont exist!
but IMO its extremely unlikely..

sometimes, when compiling these "survivor lists", survivors get missed and show up later..
but surviving RS1's are rare enough that they are all quite well documented..
its unlikely there is one floating around out there that didnt get "counted"..

I am sad to hear this. Thankfully, the two local Ann Arbor Railroad RS-1 locomotives have been spared from the torch. I should go and visit the one in Lenawee County in the future before the snow flies.

This one is New York Central-ish. It runs on ex-NYC rails. The paint scheme is NYC inspired, but the loco is ex-GMRC.
