Two pictures of MEC combine 501 I came across today, taken in 2019 on the Coopersville and Marne Railway in Michigan.

What became of the trucks? Strasburg was looking for a set recently. These may or may not be something they could use.

Anyone know the history of these boxcars in Billerica? Three are labeled Gilford Signal Storage, and the other two appear to be ex MEC, painted all white.

Hello all, while looking at a youtube video of the Amtrak Vermonter, there was a former New York Central car at the tail end. This made me curious about Boston and Maine railcars that may still exist in various states. There's an old BM pullman called "Salisbury Beach" that used to go up to Concord, there's several still on tourist railroads and museums, but does anyone have a list? I'm most interested in ones like "Salisbury Beach" that are privately owned and in good shape.

There's an old thread in here , " Surviving B&M equipment" or some such title, that would be a good start. Bob, whose last name I can never spell, of Bobs Photo fame did a couple of picture books with rosters, but I don't. remember if he listed dispositions. And finally, the B&MRRHS has published several stories / rosters over the years in their magazine " B&M bulletin". You might try them for copies.

Thanks for adding that and reminding me , is there another car nearby? I was cruising around up there more than a few years ago and remember seeing what I thought was a six axle heavy. Maybe this is that car and a case of foggy memory on this end,

Someone with way too much free time should go through this thread and create a condensed list of the survivors.

I'll say the same. I Could go through one page at a time as time permits and boil things down to just a list of survivors. Might free up some server space. As you say though, not right away.
